About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced RPEQ Structural Engineer to join a high-performing team on a major industrial site in Mt Isa. This is a FIFO role, ideally suited to a professional with strong site-based experience in heavy industrial, mining or infrastructure environments. The position offers immediate start and runs on a 6-month full-time contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural assessment, inspection, and certification of existing site infrastructure
• Oversight and approval of modifications to structural elements
• Liaising with site supervisors, design teams, and contractors to ensure compliance with engineering standards
• Producing RPEQ-certified reports and documentation
• Supporting project delivery teams through expert advice and practical engineering guidance

Requirements:

• Current RPEQ registration (Structural)
• Minimum 5 years’ structural engineering experience, ideally in mining, resources, or industrial projects
• Proficient in structural analysis software and site inspection reporting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on remote sites
• Available to commence immediately
• Able to commit to FIFO roster (e.g. 2:1 or 8:6)
