Full-Time on Contract – Initial 6 Months+

On-Site Position | Immediate Start

Australian Drafting & Design is seeking an experienced SolidWorks Drafter for a full-time contract on-site role with an established client based in Narangba.

The position will involve preparing, updating and modifying drawings for machine guarding, conveyor systems and fabricated components, as well as assisting with new designs for different machine models.

The work will include producing detailed fabrication drawings, updating existing drawings, preparing files for manufacture and creating DXF files for suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong SolidWorks experience
• Mechanical or fabrication drafting experience
• Experience with sheet metal and fabricated components
• Ability to prepare accurate manufacturing drawings
• Experience creating or exporting DXF files
• Good understanding of workshop and fabrication practices
• Ability to work independently and communicate with workshop personnel
• Experience with machine guarding, conveyors, crushing and screening equipment, mining equipment or heavy machinery would be highly regarded.

This is a practical, workshop-based role where you will have direct access to the equipment and work closely with the client’s team.

The position is initially for 6 months, with potential for ongoing work.
