Australian Drafting & Design is seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter with strong MicroStation skills and substation experience to join our growing team in Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects, producing quality engineering documentation for transmission and distribution substations.

The position will commence on a contract basis with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time role based on performance, project requirements and ongoing workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical drawings using MicroStation.
• Produce substation general arrangements, layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams and cable schedules.
• Update existing drawings from engineering mark-ups.
• Ensure documentation complies with client standards and Australian Standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to deliver accurate project documentation.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Drafter.
• Advanced proficiency in MicroStation.
• Proven experience on HV transmission and distribution substations.
• Strong understanding of electrical drafting standards.
• Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
• Australian working rights.

Desirable

• AutoCAD experience.
• Experience working to Western Power, Rio Tinto, BHP, or similar utility/mining standards.
• Protection and control drawing experience.
• Experience with brownfield substation upgrades.
