Architectural Designer -REVIT

Australian Drafting & Design is seeking an experienced Laboratory & Production Facility Architectural Designer to join our Sydney team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within the advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, research and high-technology sectors, delivering specialised facilities including laboratories, cleanrooms and production environments.

The position will commence on a contract basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time role based on performance, project requirements and ongoing workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural layouts and documentation using Autodesk Revit.
• Produce floor plans, sections, elevations and detailed production area layouts.
• Prepare Room Data Sheets (RDS).
• Develop equipment layouts and maintenance access studies.
• Coordinate architectural documentation with mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Assist with multidisciplinary project delivery.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in architectural drafting/design.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Experience preparing architectural construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of building layouts and spatial planning.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Australian working rights.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with laboratories, cleanrooms, pharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing facilities.
• BIM coordination experience.
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) experience.
• Understanding of highly serviced buildings and technical building services.
