The suitable applicant will have:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Electrical Drafter using REVIT Electrical 
• Detailed understanding of design drafting and the processes involved for Electrical Drafting
• Knowledge of control systems instrumentation and package interfaces
• Previous experience in  CCTV, is desired but not essential 
• Ensure electrical drawings are completed on time and are of high quality.
• End to end design; from initial concept drawings to completing as built drawings.
• Ability to detail single line diagrams, schematics, terminations etc. with minimum supervision.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking to hire 2 Senior Mechanical Design Drafters and a Senior Checker  to join our Team in Perth for on an ongoing contract basis. As part of our in-house Engineering Team, your contributions will include.

• Production of detailed design in Solidworks 3D models for mining & infrastructure projects
• Minimum 5 years  experience in mining environment  using Solidworks
• Production of General arrangement & detail drawings
• Project coordination with the wider design team
• Obtaining feedback to help continually improve the output of the design regarding the accuracy, quality and presentation
• Perform checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Ability to work autonomously and independently
• Occasional site or fabrication workshop visits 
• Familiarity with the relevant Australian Standards

Reporting to the Design Manager, your primary responsibility will be the production of preliminary detail and As Built Site drawings using REVIT & AutoCAD 

What we’re after

• Proficiency to produce Design drawings in a timely manner using REVIT AutoCAD 
• Ability to work with engineers to ensure all deliverables and design criteria are met in accordance with the project expectations.
• Previous Experience in Structural  drafting  environment is essential  
• Prepare preliminary drawings Modify existing drawings and doing As built  for engineering projects in accordance with project technical specifications and standards.
• Ensure design drawings are completed on time, and are of high quality.
• End to end design; from initial concept drawings to completing as built drawings.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service.
• Knowledge if other software like Advanced Steel/prosteel would be useful. but no a necessity 
• Previous experience with Marine structures drafting very advantageous.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Structural drafter
•  AutoCAD or REVIT  certification or similar drafting software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
